Dam - Gejlgard Romance II

Gejlgard Romance II is Heathmont's foundation mare, imported to Australia in foal to Don Schuffro in 2000.  Her extreme beauty coupled with movement described as being "like a panther" has proved to be the most valuable asset to Heathmont.  Her progeny have displayed the most willing and trainable natures that make them sought after by young riders through to Grand Prix competitors.

Romance II is one of only two mares in Australia by the famous Blue Hors Romancier by Roskenkavalier.  On her dam side she carries the all important Matcho AA.  She offers to Australia the foundation bloodlines of Germany.

At the 2010 Bundeschampionship both the winner and the third placed horse in the Six Year Old Dressage were out of Matcho

mares.  We are excited to be able to offer this fantastic bloodline in Australia.

Roulette's sire is Royal Hit

Royal Hit(dec'd) was an incredibly stunning 1c premium Oldenburg stallion with lots of charisma.  He had one of the most successful mare lineages in Europe which made him particularly valuable at stud.  His sire Royal Dance is himself a champion stallion and continues to come to the fore in the dressage world due to the rideability of his offspring.  Royal Hit's dam, the elite mare Loretta, produced amongst others, the world champion and German champion of the six year old dressage horses Sando Hit and the Vice-World Champion and Vice-German Champion Diamond Hit.  His dam's sire Ramino was stallion performance test champion and later on five times Italian National Champion.  In the third generation, Welt As is one of the most influential performance producers of the last years and amongst others, sired Olympic gold medallist Bonfire, ridden by Anky van Grunsven.

Service Fee: $1,500.00

Heathmont Roulette was purchased at 3 months of age from Heathmont Stud and arrived at Acacia Ridge Stud as a weanling.  We purchased him with the intention of using him over our Northern Romulus mares and this has proved to be a very successful cross.

He was Ace assessed as Elite with an overall score of 80.5% and was recommended as a stallion prospect.

He has been competing very successfully in dressage, first with a 16yo Danish rider as a 4yo and then with Verity Hayman last season.  He finished his season with Verity as 5yo SA YH Champion, topped up with Preliminary Champion and Reserve Novice Champion at the SA Spring Championships.  He has had a six month break while his rider was on maternity leave but is back in work and will be out competing again shortly (May 2016).  They have just been awarded a gold medal for their results in Preliminary dressage.

We are thrilled with his temperament and he is always impeccably behaved.  His temperament plus his super powerful movement are being passed on to his offspring.  We now have youngsters rising 3 and are excited about their prospects.  All outside owners who have used Roulette are thrilled with their foals, looks, movement and temperament.  They have it all !
