We have also been busy the last few months getting some of the youngsters going. Photos of AR Briele (3yo) just under saddle and now out to grow again, AR Beyonce (5yo) being longreined and about to go under saddle and AR Madagascar (4yo) who has now been under saddle for a couple of months and is doing some arena work plus beach rides etc.  All in all keeping us very busy.

  News

Bravo is on the mend, coming along well and getting stronger on a daily basis.  Bravo will be going t stay with Ty when I go overseas in August and they will hopefully both managed to stay sound for the Spring eventing season!  Photo of us trying out the new arena lights.

April 2015

April heralded the State Dressage Championships at Mt Crawford. This entailed a three day trip for us and we camped over as it is a three hour drive each way.  Despite the very inclement weather, the Champs went very smoothly.  Heathmont Roulette and Verity Hayman had a second and seventh place in the Preliminary Championships with the scores being very close and the went on  to win the 5yo class on day three which was very exciting. This was his first trip staying away from home and although he did get very tired, he was a total gentleman all weekend and we were very proud of him.

May 2015

Autumn Dressage Festival at Mount Crawford done and dusted.  A great weekend away and second trip away for Roulette and he was a super chilled boy.  Verity did a great job with him even with very bad preparation due to weather and some growing pains (only four rides since the States) but still managed to place in three of his four tests with good percentages.

"Mr Cool" at the end of the first day, winning the Preliminary Championships

It was a great weekend for Ria Grivell and Acacia Ridge Gallilleo, winning both Medium tests to be the Medium Champion and second in both his Advanced tests.  Well done to Ria, Kerry Kirchner, Mum, Owner, Coach and of course to Leo who has grown into a stunning boy.

Unfortunately we couldn't stay for presentations on the 2nd day.  Poor boy had been on the truck for 10 hours and was exhausted so no pictures of Novice Sashes - there wasn't must room left for all of them !

Other exciting new for October is that Bravo and I finally got out for our very first competition together and in the middle of Spring !  His rider was very nervous and actually managed to make two mistakes in the first test, definitely a grey moment, but despite that, he won the Novice Championship at SVDC Championships which was very exciting.  He was such a good boy.  I was totally thrilled with him and fingers crossed this is just the first of many.

March 2015

The weather has moderated and we managed to get Roulette out to some dressage comps for some very good results, winning and placing in all of his Novice tests. Verity is doing a super job with him and their future is looking very exciting.

Exciting news from Jumping With The Stars - Pax Bravo, 3/4 brother to our Bravo Romulus, won the Current Stars Grand Prix.  Congratulations to Briony Temby on such a super result.  Bravo himself is slowly coming back into work with help of physio and acupuncture as those deep pulled muscles in his rump have been very slow to heal.

On the local front, it was lovely to see Fiona Heysen and Kalinga Nora (who is by Bravo Romulus) out and about having some fun at Lockington.  Photo of them galloping into the placings.  Nora has some time off to have a very stunning baby by Heathmont Roulette but has now returned to her competition career.

Great news from WA.  Izzy McLaughlin and AR Rennaissance have cemented their relationship and are achieving some great results both showjumping and eventing.  Below photos of them winning the 105cm class at Moora CNC Event and coming second in the 110cm class at the Interschool SJ Championships.  Go girls !

December 2015

Final news for the year.  All gone quiet with competitions at the moment with breeding season happening.  We have had our first foal, a gorgeous filly by Heathmont Roulette out of our Northern Romulus super mare, AR Reminisce.  Welcome to AR Rafaella !  Two weeks early but very strong and doing well.  She is a very very sweet little girl.  Roulette will be having a four month break while Verity has had her baby and Bravo and I will be enjoying some beach rides plus some lessons to improve our partnership in between stud work.  We will also have four youngsters in work next week, hopefully all will be ready to offer for sale in the New Year.

October 2015

Sorry for the big gap in news.  With winter and me going to India for a fantastic holiday, it has been very quiet.  However, Spring has sprung and with it two very exciting competitions for both boys.

Firstly, Heathmont Roulette was a super boy at the Adelaide Hills Spring Champs, winning the Preliminary Championship and runner-up in the Novice Championships.  Four super tests ridden very well by Verity Hayman.  These two have become quite a team.  Verity and Roulette have been together for nearly twelve months - unfortunately we are going to be having a little break as Verity is expecting her third child.  However, what a note to finish on !
